Yet too often, maintenance training is inconsistent—or based on passed-down habits that can create risk.

Intertek Alchemy now helps you strengthen maintenance performance with professional, standardized training delivered through your Alchemy Training System.

Foundational Maintenance Education
We’re beginning this library with 12 foundational courses; we have six courses available today, and the remaining 6 will arrive in the next few months. This standard library is included with your current license, and you’ll see a new “Maintenance” category with these courses in your Alchemy Catalog:

• Organization During Maintenance: Overview – UMM103
• HVAC Systems: An Introduction to Maintenance – UMM107
• Hand and Power Tools: Overview and Care – UMM108
• Fasteners: General Application and Removal – UMM109
• Electrical Systems: An Introduction to Maintenance – UMM110

In 2026, we’ll release 6 additional courses covering plumbing, motors and pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, belts and conveyors, and the principle that maintenance is everyone’s responsibility. Together, these 12 courses create a clear path to comprehensive maintenance education. You can also use the curriculum with frontline workers to build awareness, cooperation, and support for maintenance activities.
