New Safety Training Courses for Confined Spaces and More

By Product Management Team |

Tanks, silos, pits, vaults, and ductwork are common in manufacturing plants and distribution centers, and they are some of the most dangerous places your employees may be asked to work. Training is one of the strongest defenses you have, so every person on the job knows their role and safe practices before they step inside. To support your safety efforts, we have new and updated courses on confined spaces, fire extinguishers, and more.

New Courses
Intertek Alchemy has added 5 new courses with two of them designed for workers who enter confined spaces as these are high-risk environments with limited entry points, poor ventilation, and hazardous atmospheres. The two other new courses address safety topics relevant to your full frontline staff. Each course includes immersive storytelling to help learners retain what they learn, and scenario-based questions that get them thinking through hazards before they face them at your workplace.

  • Confined Spaces for Entrants – Part 1 of 2 – UEM401
  • Confined Spaces for Entrants – Part 2 of 2 – UEM402
  • Confined Spaces: REFRESHER – Basics – UEM070
  • Fire Extinguishers: REFRESHER – Introduction – UEM067
  • Parking Lot Safety – UEM419

Another new course trains employees to stay alert to vehicle traffic, walking surfaces, and other risks they face as they start and end every shift. The new refresher courses provide a great retraining option for your teams and deliver shorter reminders of key safety messages.

Updated Courses
We have also fully updated 4 existing courses using the same interactive approach described above, so your learners get engaging, realistic practice that promotes safer everyday behaviors on the job:

  • Respirators: Introduction – UEM16
  • Confined Spaces: Basics – UEM40
  • Confined Spaces for Attendants – UEM17
  • Fire Extinguishers: Introduction – UEM27

All the courses above are available in English, Spanish, and Canadian French so you can effectively train more of your diverse staff. You can deliver them via eLearning or in group training, and we encourage you to add them to targeted learning plans based on role, risk exposure, and/or site requirements.

We build training courses our clients value the most, and we encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas with us at [email protected].
