New Workplace Harassment Prevention Training Library
We are happy to introduce our new Workplace Harassment Prevention library! With this release, we have replaced the courses provided by an Intertek Alchemy partner with new and improved courses we created ourselves.
Workplace harassment regulations exist in several states, and both our new and previous courses help clients in these states comply with specific state laws. As preventing harassment contributes to workplace safety and helps build a positive work environment, we also offer general training for both employees and managers to assist clients in other states as well.
While grateful to our partner of many years, we have heard from clients that they wanted more from Alchemy in this curriculum. We listened, engaged, and got to work. The result is the new courses you can see in your Alchemy Catalog today, and we bring them to you with no change in your premium library subscription fee.
Key Changes and Benefits
We have transformed 9 partner courses into 64 Alchemy courses. We did this by converting one- or two-hour training courses into multiple shorter ones. Your catalog will only have the state courses you subscribe to, so your 1-2 state-specific courses are being replaced by 6 or more courses. This new library offers many benefits:
- Compliance: Like our current library, our new courses meet state-mandated requirements for employee-level and manager-level training.
- Group training: You can now utilize Alchemy Player’s group training functionality – a common client request.
- Customization: You can edit the courses in Alchemy Creator to add custom content and make the courses more relevant to your employees.
- Flexible structure: We’ve divided the Alchemy courses into multiple parts to give you additional flexibility in course assignments.
- Consistency: The new courses are consistent in quality and style with the rest of your Alchemy library.
- Modernized: The courses depict employees in corporate casual dress to reflect work environments today.
Your workers will appreciate these shorter segments. As shown in the tables below, we’ve titled these courses to make it easy to know where you stand; for example, “Part 2 of 6.” To meet state requirements, it is important to note that workers must complete all included parts, and we recommend taking them in the order our titling prescribes.
Learning Plan Changes Required
Please make note of and plan for the retirement date of August 1st. On this date, we will remove the pre-existing workplace harassment courses from your Alchemy Catalog. As these are partner-provided courses, this is a hard date. Until this date, you will see both new and old courses available. As customary, we will retain any historical training records for the former courses in Alchemy Manager.
You must change your Learning Plans that include the old partner courses. While not difficult, this will be an additional step as you now will have to assign an employee 6-9 courses instead of the one course you assigned previously. Find your state in the tables below, and you’ll see the course transition you must make. You also have the option of having workers complete such Learning Plans before this date, but to meet state requirements, you’ll have to create a new Learning Plan(s) with the new Alchemy courses.
