New Coach Observations for BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 Help You Transition
Like all the Certification Program Owners (CPOs), BRCGS updates their standard every few years. This year, they launched Food Safety Issue 9 on August 1st. With Issue 9 audits beginning in February, we are about halfway through the transition period and have taken action to support you with two dozen new BRCGS Issue 9 observations.
All 24 observations are in your Alchemy Manager site today, and we encourage you to use them with Alchemy Coach to verify that your training on BRC Issue 9 is creating the desired worker changes. As BRC has rebranded to BRCGS since releasing Issue 8, our observation names reflect this change. While most of the new observations directly replace a corresponding Issue 8 observation, we’ve added observations to address new parts of Issue 9, like Requirements for Traded Products. As with Issue 8, we are providing you with comprehensive coverage of the Standard, touching on every section at some level.
