Like many in the food industry, Campbell’s experienced surging demand during the early days of COVID causing new hire orientations to become a weekly event at its Paris, Texas, plant. The only way to make this work was to reduce the time it took for a new worker to contribute wholly and safely.
Hill’s Pet Nutrition’s Richmond, Indiana, plant recently added a 4th shift and expanded production from five days a week to seven. The volume of on-the-job training required and the desire for consistency across instructors in the 24/7 facility led them to initiate a holistic, cross-functional training strategy for new employees.

Like all the Certification Program Owners (CPOs), BRCGS updates their standard every few years. This year, they launched Food Safety Issue 9 on August 1st. With Issue 9 audits beginning in February, we are about halfway through the transition period and have taken action to support you with two dozen new BRCGS Issue 9 observations.
We are excited to unveil our redesigned, more intuitive Alchemy Manager observation pages that make this essential element of Alchemy Coach training efficient and effective. Admins who build and edit observations will appreciate these significant improvements to the interface:
For our clients using Alchemy Coach, we are pleased to announce there are now 11 more observations translated to Spanish available to you. These new translations are available in the Coach app and Alchemy Manager to all clients who use Coach to both verify training and improve worker performance. They are translations of existing observations, and this release more than doubles
Intertek Alchemy has developed an array of solutions to help sustain a mature food safety culture throughout their organization & meet audit requirements.
We’ve updated all SQF observations in Alchemy Coach to align with SQF Code Edition 9 to help better prepare you for a successful audit on new requirements.
Older versions must be retired to ensure compatibility with third party software and up-to-date content.
Due to technology upgrades that are planned for Coach 2, all prior versions of Coach will not work after 2/19/2019.
